Following an excellent last-gasp win over Juventus, Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be confident of another good performance in this Premier League dress rehearsal.Manchester United will look to make it four wins from four in pre-season when they take on Tottenham in Shanghai today.

The Reds have scored seven goals and kept three clean sheets across games against Perth Glory, Leeds United and Inter Milan during the tour so far.

Mason Greenwood scored United’s winner against Inter after netting the opener against Leeds and Reds fans will be eager to get another glimpse of the teenager ahead of the new season.

One player who definitely won’t be featuring against Spurs is Romelu Lukaku, who hasn’t played at all in pre-season due to an ankle problem.

Victor Lindelof is available after being substituted in the second half of the win over Inter.

Ahead of United’s meeting with Spurs, Lindelof queshed speculation linking him with a move to Barcelona, telling ESPN: “I’m here, I’m very happy here. That’s my focus. Manchester United is my club. I represent this club with great honour.”Manchester United have been told that Sheffield United will set a deadline to secure a loan move for Dean Henderson.

The 22-year-old is expected to return to Bramall Lane this summer after a successful loan spell in Yorkshire last term, when he helped the Blades to promotion to the Premier League.

With two weeks to go Henderson remains at United, but he hasn’t been part of the squad on the club’s pre-season tour and with David de Gea set to sign a six-year contract to remain at Old Trafford the expectation is that the England Under-21 international will be allowed to leave the club on a temporary basis.

Sheffield United have been to keen to take Henderson back all summer, but the uncertainty over De Gea’s future meant United wanted to keep him around the club in case he was required this season.

But with the opening weekend of the new Premier League season now less than three weeks away, both teams will be looking to improve their match fitness and test our their tactical plans for the campaign ahead.Mauricio Pochettino’s side will be without club captain Hugo Lloris, who has returned to England due to illness, and Eric Dier and Ben Davies, both of whom did not originally travel to Asia.

Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier and Victor Wanyama are all unavailable after their exertions on international duty.

For United, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men will be without Romelu Lukaku with the Belgian striker still not fit enough to play a part.

However, Victor Lindelof is set to return at the heart of the Red Devils’ defence.

We’ll bring you all the build-up, team news and live updates of the game right here, so don’t go anywhere.hen Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United last met, the Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revolution was in full swing.

United extended its winning run as Marcus Rashford scored the winner at Wembley and the doom and gloom that engulfed the 20-time champions of England under Jose Mourinho seemed just a distant memory.

The feel-good factor evaporated within a few months and United limped to a dismal sixth-place finish, while Spurs finished fourth and reached their first-ever Champions League final, which they lost 2-0.

As the two teams meet in Shanghai, China, on Thursday in the last of their two-game preseason tours in Asia, it’s hard to dispel the feeling Tottenham remains a club on an upward trajectory—with United looking to bridge the gap.

Solskjaer’s men are on a three-game winning streak—after beating Perth Glory and Leeds United in Australia and Inter Milan in Singapore—and the Norwegian has done his best to give the team a new identity.

United has looked more incisive and direct this summer than during most of last season, but a number of glaring issues have not been addressed. Solskjaer still needs to sign a commanding center-back—although United is reportedly edging closer to a deal for Leicester City’s Harry Maguire—and the midfield remains short of both quality and quantity.

Meanwhile, after not buying a single player last summer, Mauricio Pochettino has loosened the purse strings this year, signing Tanguy Ndombele for a club-record fee.

While United is looking to force its way into the top four again, Spurs are looking to close the gap to Manchester City and Liverpool and turn a two-horse race into a three-team affair next season.
